Soccer Recap: Smithfield Comes Up Short

The Smithfield Packers didn't have quite enough to beat the Nansemond River Warriors on Thursday and fell 2-1. Smithfield have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Lana Green, who's now up to three this season.

Smithfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Nansemond River, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Smithfield and Nansemond River will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Packers see the pitch they'll take on Warhill at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Nansemond River, their break will end when they face Great Bridge at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
