Basketball Recap: Corsicana Takes a Loss

Corsicana lost against Crandall back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Corsicana Tigers lost 87-64 to the Crandall Pirates. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 66-21.

Crandall's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Franklin, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. Franklin is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last ten games he's played. Lebron Mckelvy was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Corsicana is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-21. As for Crandall, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-16 record this season.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Corsicana is facing Terrell at the right time seeing as Terrell is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Crandall, they will welcome Ennis at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
