Recap: Fullington Academy Trojans vs. Covenant Academy
The Fullington Academy Trojans pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Covenant Academy. Fullington Academy has not had much luck with Covenant Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Covenant Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Mcghee, who scored 25 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Mcghee has scored at least 25% of Covenant Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Bartow, who scored 23 points.
Fullington Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Covenant Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Fullington Academy will head out on the road to face off against Terrell Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Terrell Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fullington Academy in Georgia (Terrell Academy is ranked 134th, while Fullington Academy is ranked 285th). As for Covenant Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Westwood at 4:30 p.m.
