Recap: Garner vs. Bynum Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gholson, Garner were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They secured a 39-34 W over Bynum.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooklyn Compean, who scored seven points along with five steals and three blocks. Compean is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lucero Perales, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Garner's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Bynum, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Garner and Graford will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in Graford's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Garner has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. Bynum and Oakwood will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Oakwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday.
