Cory-Rawson won the last time they faced Temple Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Fighting Hornets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Pioneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Fighting Hornets have posted since August 21st.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (64-63) Cory-Rawson actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 13-25, 25-21.

Brie May paced Cory-Rawson's offense, picking up eight kills. May got some help from Katelyn Duffman and her 19 assists. Addison Inbody controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Cory-Rawson's win bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Temple Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Cory-Rawson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Ada on the 27th. As for Temple Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Vanlue on the 27th.
