Basketball Recap: Flanagan Comes Up Short

Flanagan and Nova squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Flanagan had to settle for second. They fell 57-48 to the Nova Titans. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2021.

Despite the loss, Flanagan still got an impressive performance from Dominic Carias, who posted 20 points. The dominant performance gave Carias a new career-high in points. Jayden Sainval was another key player, putting up ten points.

Flanagan has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Nova, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Flanagan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nova, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-59 defeat against Miramar on the 5th.
