Softball Recap: Burgin Takes a Loss

Burgin couldn't beat Lexington Christian on Wednesday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fourth inning. The Bulldogs came up short against the Eagles, falling 23-8. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jocelyn Stanley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Ashton Lester was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Burgin's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Lexington Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

Coming up, Burgin will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Danville Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. As for Lexington Christian, they will face off against Christian Academy-Louisville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
