Softball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bengals vs. J.P. Stevens Hawks

The Bloomfield Bengals will challenge the J.P. Stevens Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Bloomfield barely beat Newark Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bengals were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over the Minutemen on Tuesday. Considering the Bengals have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask J.P. Stevens). Everything went their way against New Brunswick on Wednesday as they made off with a 12-5 win.

J.P. Stevens' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-16. As for Bloomfield, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 9-9.
