Mendota waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Firebaugh Eagles 6-0. The Aztecs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Firebaugh from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Erlin Gomez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Mendota's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. As for Firebaugh, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-21 record this season.

Mendota has already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Atascadero on the 14th. Firebaugh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
