Basketball Recap: Brandon Jarmon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Buena Vista over Millard West

Buena Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Millard West Wildcats on the road by a 61-47 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-74 last Monday.

Buena Vista's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Jarmon, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points along with eight boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was LC Doss, who went 5 for 10 en route to 16 points.

Millard West's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Kozney, who posted 17 points and three steals. Those three steals gave Kozney a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Walker, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Buena Vista's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Millard West, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Buena Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-48 win against Benson on the 10th. As for Millard West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-48 defeat against Omaha Central on the 10th.
