Flag Football Recap: Baiylee Hervey and Jillian Ton Pace Eaglecrest Defense

Eaglecrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Overland Trailblazers. The Raptors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trailblazers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Even if they lost, Eaglecrest's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Baiylee Hervey and Jillian Ton, who racked up all five sacks between them. Jacy Surrell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Eaglecrest's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Overland, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-5.

Eaglecrest has already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Cherokee Trail on the 29th. As for Overland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 41-7 defeat against Grandview on the 30th.
