Basketball Recap: Alcuin Hawks vs. First Baptist Saints
Alcuin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the First Baptist Saints 87-28. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-19.
When it comes to explaining why Alcuin lost, don't look at Spencer Smith. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points.
Jett Stamps was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 37 points along with five assists and five steals for First Baptist. As for First Baptist, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Garland Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. First Baptist is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 73.4 points per game this season.
