Baseball Recap: Shawnee Has No Trouble Against Haddonfield

Shawnee came out on top against Haddonfield on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Renegades took their matchup against the Bulldawgs 7-2. That looming 7-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Renegades yet this season.

Shawnee got a great performance from Drew Tenet as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The Renegades are 4-1 when Tenet allows two or fewer earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Shawnee's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chris Ahrens, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Ahrens has hit this season. Kayden Maybury was another, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Shawnee's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4. As for Haddonfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shawnee will head out to face off against Rancocas Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Haddonfield, they will take on Allentown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
