Recap: AZ Compass Prep National Dragons vs. Imagine Prep Storm
The AZ Compass Prep National Dragons put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Imagine Prep 73-44 at home. AZ Compass Prep National has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Imagine Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaliyah Chacon, who scored 21 points along with two steals, and Jaiona Allen who scored eight points along with four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chacon has scored all season.
AZ Compass Prep National pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Imagine Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
AZ Compass Prep National will head out on the road to take on Heritage Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Imagine Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgeline Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
