Marshfield and Wausau West are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Marshfield came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 17-4 to Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Red Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Marshfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Kraus, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Madilynn Cole also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Wausau West brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past Wausau East 14-4 on Monday. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory snapped Wausau West's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10 record. As for Marshfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
