Soccer Game Preview: Plum vs. Norwin

The Plum Mustangs will square off against the Norwin Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Norwin will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Plum extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Mustangs never let Hempfield Area get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Give Plum's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Norwin's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Everything went their way against Penn Hills as they made off with a 4-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Norwin in their matchups with Penn Hills: they've now won eight in a row.

Norwin's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-2. As for Plum, their win bumped their record up to 14-2-1.

Plum came out on top in a nail-biter against Norwin in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
