Baseball Recap: Moore Haven Comes Up Short

Moore Haven was the 11-1 winner over Donahue Catholic when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Terriers fell just short of the Shamrocks by a score of 17-16 on Friday.

THAD JOHNS made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. MANNY RODRIGUEZ also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Moore Haven's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Donahue Catholic, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Moore Haven has already played their next game, a 9-4 defeat against Glades Day on the 11th. As for Donahue Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 22-4 victory against Everglades City on the 9th.
