Basketball Recap: Forsyth Country Day Skates Past Forsyth Home Educators with Ease

Forsyth Country Day won the last time they faced Forsyth Home Educators and things went their way on Friday too. The Forsyth Country Day Furies really took it to the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-20 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Furies as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Forsyth Country Day got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gigi Lyons out in front who posted 28 points. That's the most points Lyons has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Lila Kelly, who put up 18 points.

Forsyth Home Educators lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Baleigh Johnson, who earned seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Deck, who scored four points and seven boards.

Forsyth Country Day's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10. As for Forsyth Home Educators, they moved to 14-9 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Forsyth Country Day has already played their next contest (against Mount Tabor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Forsyth Home Educators didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-30 loss against South Guilford HomeSchool on the 21st.
