Basketball Game Preview: Bellevue West Thunderbirds vs. Lincoln Southeast Knights

Bellevue West is 8-1 against Lincoln Southeast since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bellevue West Thunderbirds will host the Lincoln Southeast Knights at 5:30 p.m. Bellevue West is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Bellevue West challenged Omaha Central on Friday. Bellevue West fell 56-48 to Omaha Central.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Stevie Harley, who posted ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Da?Nyla Tatum, who went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Southeast had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 51-38 win over Blue Valley on Saturday.

Lincoln Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Bellevue West, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-6.

Bellevue West was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln Southeast when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 58-50. Will Bellevue West repeat their success, or does Lincoln Southeast have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
