Baseball Recap: Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Comes Up Short

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-4 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Holdingford Huskers. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Huskers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Drange, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Drange has hit this season.

As for Holdingford, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.4 runs.

On Holdingford's side, Masyn Patrick was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodi Huls, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Looking ahead, Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City will take on Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Holdingford, they will challenge Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
