Basketball Recap: Riverview Comes Up Short

Riverview lost against Newsome back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Riverview Sharks took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newsome Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Wolves are ranked 82nd).

Riverview has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Newsome, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Riverview and Armwood will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
