Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Georgia Kluver and Jocelyn Kuehner Lead Norfolk to Victory

Norfolk hadn't done well against Lincoln East recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-23.

Leading Norfolk to victory were Jocelyn Kuehner and Georgia Kluver. Kuehner had six digs and five aces, while Kluver had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Kluver has posted over her last five contests.

They weren't the only good servers: Norfolk was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Lincoln East had strong showings from Eva Gutz, who had nine digs and three assists, and Rowan Servi, who had three digs and two aces.

Norfolk's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Lincoln East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-20 record this season.

Norfolk wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lincoln High on the 11th. As for Lincoln East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Marian on the 13th.
