Volleyball Recap: Baldwin Park Wins Going Away Against Workman

Baldwin Park barely beat Workman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Braves were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lobos on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Braves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Baldwin Park not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Workman between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-16.

Edlynn Flores paced Baldwin Park's offense, picking up 15 kills. Flores got some help from Mya Martinez and her 20 assists. Martinez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Baldwin Park has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Workman, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Baldwin Park will head out to challenge The Webb Schools at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Workman, they will face off against El Rancho at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
