Basketball Recap: Robert Toombs Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Robert Toombs Christian Academy easily dispatched Central Georgia Arts last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders fell just short of the Memorial Day Matadors by a score of 44-41 on Monday. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Matadors earlier this season, when they won 55-50.

Memorial Day found their leader in sophomore Johnkeria Miles, who almost dropped a triple-double with 21 points, 17 rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Miles has scored at least a third of Memorial Day's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalynn Brown, who posted ten points and five boards.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Memorial Day, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-7.

As of now, neither Robert Toombs Christian Academy nor Memorial Day have any future games scheduled.
