Tate came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pensacola Tigers by a score of 2-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win last Thursday.

Torrie Garrett paced Tate's offense, picking up nine kills. Garrett got some help from Bailie Merritt and her 17 assists. Merritt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Tate's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Pensacola, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Tate and Pensacola will both be playing Destin the next time they take the court. The Aggies will head out to face the Sharks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
