Football Game Preview: Mojave Rattlers vs. Bishop Gorman Gaels + How To Watch

The Mojave Rattlers will head out to square off against the Bishop Gorman Gaels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Friday, Mojave took their matchup with ease, bagging a 35-7 victory over Somerset Academy Losee. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rattlers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mojave to victory, but perhaps none more so than RaJahn Butler, who rushed for 59 yards on only eight carries, and also threw for 98 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes. Mark Ames also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Gorman). They breezed past Palo Verde to the tune of 58-0 on Friday. Given the Gaels' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Panthers are ranked 27th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Gorman's win came from a few key players Mojave will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaina Watson, who picked up 245 receiving yards and three scores. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 105.3 receiving yards per game. Maika Eugenio was another key passer, throwing for 350 yards and five TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes.

Mojave's record is now 3-4. As for Bishop Gorman, their record now sits at 6-1.
