Payton Simmons Game Report: vs Aransas Pass

Payton Simmons has led Odem in stolen bases on the season and he led the team again on Friday. Simmons was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 1.2 stolen bases per game.

Simmons and Odem will head out on the road to challenge Mathis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Owls got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Pirates thanks in part to Simmons: he scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
