Football Recap: Midway/Minto Comes Up Short

Midway/Minto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt an 80-12 defeat at the hands of New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 80-12 to New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Midway/Minto's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Looking ahead, Midway/Minto will welcome Cavalier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Tornadoes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock, they will take on Nelson County co-op [Lakota/Dakota Prairie] on Friday.
