Basketball Recap: Pallotti Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Pallotti Panthers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Potomac School Panthers. While losing is never fun, Pallotti can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 78th in Maryland, while Potomac School is ranked 12th in Virginia).

Pallotti dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Potomac School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Pallotti will be playing in front of their home fans against North Point at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Pallotti is facing North Point at the right time seeing as North Point is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Potomac School, they and Bishop O'Connell will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Bishop O'Connell will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Potomac School surely won't give up without a fight.
