Baseball Recap: Elkmont Takes a Loss

Elkmont lost against Ardmore last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Elkmont Red Devils fell 10-6 to the Ardmore Tigers. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jake Guthrie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

Elkmont's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Ardmore, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Elkmont will host West Limestone at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ardmore, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Ardmore Tigers duke it out with Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
