Volleyball Recap: Brainerd Warriors vs. Hill-Murray Pioneers

Brainerd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of the Hill-Murray Pioneers by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Brainerd sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 17-25, 15-9.

Defeat or not, Brainerd got some senior leadership from Mckenna Constance and Autumn Schiller. Constance had 15 digs, while Schiller had 11 digs. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for her.

Brainerd's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Hill-Murray, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 1-12-1 record.

Brainerd will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Denfeld at 11:15 a.m. Brainerd is facing Denfeld at the right time seeing as Denfeld is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hill-Murray, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against South St. Paul at 4:45 p.m.
