Kade Pape Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Marion got the W thanks in part to Kade Pape playing the best football he has all season. Pape rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

The victory made it two in a row for Marion and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Pape and Marion will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ingram Moore at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Trey Mote Delivers Electric Effort Vs Luling

Another Llano player making an appearance on this list is Trey Mote. He rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Christian Sanchez Makes It Two for Marion

The second Marion player making an appearance here is Christian Sanchez, and for good reason. He rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns. Marion is 2-1 when Sanchez posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

If history really does repeat itself, Sanchez might just drop another big game when he faces off against Ingram Moore on Friday. When Sanchez last faced the Warriors back in October of 2023, he rushed for 150 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
