Volleyball Recap: East Union Takes a Loss

After flying high against Central Catholic last Wednesday, East Union came back down to earth. The East Union Lancers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ripon Christian Knights on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21.

Ripon Christian found their leader in sophomore Ian Brown, who had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Brown has posted since back in May of 2024.

East Union now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Ripon Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

The future could be bright for both East Union and Ripon Christian: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. East Union will look to extend Oakdale's eight-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ripon Christian will try to hand Hilmar their third-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
