Basketball Recap: Christian Academy of Knoxville Takes Down Silverdale Academy in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Christian Academy of Knoxville rose to the challenge on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-31 win over the Silverdale Academy Seahawks. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Seahawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Caden Owens was his usual excellent self, going 5-for-9 en route to 21 points and five boards. His evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Silverdale Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Briggs Hoewischer, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Luke Keith, who scored eight points.

Christian Academy of Knoxville's win bumped their record up to 28-3. As for Silverdale Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-19.

Christian Academy of Knoxville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-53 victory against Boyd-Buchanan on the 21st. Silverdale Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
