Basketball Recap: Rocket City Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ella Turney and Lily Trotter

If Rocket City was feeling good fresh off their 53-23 takedown of Bradley Knights last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rocket City Falcons received a blow on Thursday as they fell 58-42 to Tennessee Heat. The Falcons haven't had much luck with Tennessee Heat recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite the loss, Rocket City had strong showings from Lily Trotter, who posted 21 points and six boards, and Ella Turney, who put up eight points and ten steals. Turney is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

Rocket City's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Tennessee Heat, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-12.

Rocket City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-29 victory against Bluegrass on the 13th. As for Tennessee Heat, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-35 loss against Rocket City on the 15th.
