Recap: Classen SAS Comets vs. Harrah Panthers
The Classen SAS Comets''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Harrah, falling 36-6. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Classen SAS struggled afterwards.
When it comes to explaining why Classen SAS lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elijah Green. Despite the final result, he picked up 33 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Devon Macaraig was his usual excellent self, rushing for 195 yards and three touchdowns. Macaraig is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Joey Mclaughlin was another key contributor, rushing for 48 yards and a touchdown.
Classen SAS's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.0 points per game. As for Harrah, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Classen SAS will take on Tuttle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tuttle is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Harrah, they will be playing at home against Bridge Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
