Football Recap: Timpview Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Timpview's offense. They were beaten by the Springville Red Devils 28-0 on Friday. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Dennis Tuaone threw for 31 yards on two of 11 attempts.

Springville was led to victory by Treyton Harris and Tua Naufahu. Harris rushed for 102 yards and one score, while Naufahu rushed for 52 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Naufahu a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Sioasi Toki got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Timpview's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Springville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Timpview will take on rival Pleasant Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Springville is set to challenge their familiar foe Spanish Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
