Coyle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 31-22 to the Davenport Bulldogs. While the Bluejackets had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Bulldogs 16-7.

Chase Mitchell had an outrageously good game for Davenport as he rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 124 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes.

Coyle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Davenport, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-7.

Coyle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Davenport has already played their next contest, a 52-7 loss against Wilson-Henryetta on the 15th.
