Sweeny came tearing into  Friday's  match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   3-1  win over the Columbia Roughnecks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-1  back in September.
 Sweeny had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-17, 25-11,  25-11.
 Abbie Finch paced Sweeny's offense, picking up 14 kills. Finch got some help from  Stevie Brown and her 40 assists.  Hannah Forshee controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Sweeny's victory bumped their record up to 29-8. As for Columbia,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 12-22.
 Sweeny wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  defeat against Needville on the 21st. As for Columbia, they have also already played their next contest,  a  3-1  win against La Marque on the 21st.
