Volleyball Recap: Warner Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Watertown

Warner faced Watertown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Monarchs fell just short of the Arrows by a score of 2-1. The Monarchs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Jaycee Jung paced Warner's offense, picking up ten kills. Jung got some help from Reagan Wood and her nine assists. Courtney Leidholt controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Andi Olson was nothing short of spectacular for Watertown: she had 22 digs. That's the most digs Olson has posted over her last eight contests.

Warner's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Watertown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Warner didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Tea on the 27th. As for Watertown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brookings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
