Volleyball Recap: Hurricane Takes a Loss

Hurricane was the 3-1 winner over Spanish Fork when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dons on Friday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Falyn Mecham paced Hurricane's offense, picking up nine kills. Mecham got some help from Teuila Alualu and her 25 assists. Mecham also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Arianna Hoffman, racking up two apiece.

Hurricane now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Spanish Fork, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Hurricane wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against North Sevier on the 16th. As for Spanish Fork, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Richfield on the 16th.
