 Notre Dame is 7-1 against Welsh since April of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Notre Dame Pioneers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Welsh Greyhounds at 5:00  p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
 Notre Dame scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They never let Lake Arthur onto the board and left with  a   21-0  victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Notre Dame needed considering they were shutout in their previous   matchup.
 Meanwhile, Welsh came tearing into  Thursday's  match with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Bruins with a sharp  12-5 win.
  Cohen Cormier was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  struck out eight batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and only one walk). Cormier was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ethan Beard, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.  Brecken Haydel was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Welsh, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
 Everything went Notre Dame's way against Welsh in their previous meeting  on March 14th as Notre Dame made off with  an  8-2 victory. Will Notre Dame repeat their success,  or does  Welsh have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
