Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Victory Christian Academy can now relate to. They fell to the Santa Fe Christian Eagles 55-50. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 56-52 to the Eagles when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Victory Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Angel Ochoa, who went 8-for-14 en route to 21 points. Adrian Fernandez was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Victory Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 18-15. As for Santa Fe Christian, they pushed their record up to 23-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Victory Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Fe Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-53 defeat against Bakersfield Christian on the 6th.
