Basketball Recap: White Oak Comes Up Short

White Oak and Rocky Mount squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but White Oak had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Rocky Mount Gryphons and fell 56-10. The matchup marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, White Oak still got an impressive performance from Zamarah Rawls, who posted two points along with six blocks and three steals. Rawls has been hot for a while, having posted two or more blocks the last ten times she's played.

It was another big night for Kira Jones, who on her way to 22 points and five steals for Rocky Mount. Another player making a difference was ZaNadiyah Harris, who put up ten points and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for White Oak and nudges their season record down to 6-13. As for Rocky Mount, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

White Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rocky Mount, they will take on Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rocky Mount is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.9 points per game this season.
