Basketball Game Preview: Butler Bears vs. Oldham County Colonels

Butler is 0-4 against Oldham County since December of 2014 but things could change on Tuesday. The Butler Bears will look to defend their home court against the Oldham County Colonels at 7:30 p.m. Butler knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Oldham County likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Butler against Western as the squad secured a 78-44 win. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Oldham County came up short against Henry Clay on Saturday and fell 85-75. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Colonels still had to take the loss.

Butler's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for Oldham County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.
