Basketball Game Preview: East View Patriots vs. Georgetown Eagles

East View hasn't had much luck against Georgetown recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The East View Patriots will host the Georgetown Eagles at 6:30 p.m.

East View is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Tuesday. They took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Weiss. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 972nd, while the Wolves are ranked 466th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Georgetown). They blew past Pflugerville Connally, posting an 87-23 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

Georgetown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for East View, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

East View took a serious blow against Georgetown in their previous matchup back in January, falling 57-23. Can East View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
