Basketball Recap: Sandburg Takes a Loss

Sandburg was the 68-34 winner over Tinley Park when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sandburg Eagles took a 50-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tinley Park Titans. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sandburg's loss dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Tinley Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Sandburg and Tinley Park could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Sandburg (ranked 236th) will meet Lincoln-Way Central (ranked 105th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Tinley Park will face off against Lemont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 212 places (281 vs. 69).
