Football Recap: NICO AIELLO and KHALIL TAYLOR Lead the Defense for Pine-Richland Win + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Pine-Richland had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 34-24 victory over the Moon Area Tigers on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

It was another big night for AARON STRADER, who rushed for 198 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 30 yards and one touchdown. Those 198 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. KHALIL TAYLOR made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Pine-Richland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of NICO AIELLO and TAYLOR. TAYLOR got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pine-Richland's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Moon Area, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

Coming up, Pine-Richland will square off against Peters Township at 8:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Indians' defense has only allowed 6.9 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them. Moon Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
