Basketball Game Preview: St. Boniface Catholic Classical vs. Regents Academy Eagles

St. Boniface Catholic Classical will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Regents Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

St. Boniface Catholic Classical saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were dealt an 84-16 loss at the hands of Lifestyle Christian.

Meanwhile, after only 22 points in their last game, Regents Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against LEAD Academy on Tuesday. The Eagles snuck past the Lions with a 58-53 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

St. Boniface Catholic Classical better focus on containing Karsten Dodson and Ethan Spradley as the pair were huge in Regents Academy's win. Dodson shot 43% from the field on his way to 26 points and six steals, while Spradley almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, Dodson is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Liam Shipp, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Regents Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

St. Boniface Catholic Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Regents Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

St. Boniface Catholic Classical took a serious blow against Regents Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 53-23. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. Boniface Catholic Classical was down 35-12.
