Basketball Recap: Burwell Takes a Loss

Burwell lost against North Central back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Longhorns took a blow against the Knights, falling 51-21.

Despite the loss, Burwell still got an impressive performance from Binyam Sikes, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trey Anthony, who posted 13 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Riar Lezotte, who had ten points and three steals.

Burwell's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North Central, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Burwell will challenge Ravenna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Central, they will take on Chambers/Wheeler Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
